The curry itself had a rich, coconutty base with just enough heat to awaken the senses but not overwhelm the palate. It came with tau pok (fried beancurd), cabbage, and a few slices of fishcake, all of which held up surprisingly well in texture and ... Moretaste. The tau pok was particularly enjoyable, soaking up the curry like a sponge. While I would’ve liked a bit more protein or spice kick, the overall flavor was comforting and reminded me of hawker-style breakfasts. For a convenient packed option, it delivers on both taste and portion size.
